Fact 1: Jeffrey loved to examine dead animal bodies
From a very young age Jeffrey Dahmer had an incredible fascination with dead animal bodies and bones. He once stated that he loved the sounds the bone made when they clicked together into a bucket. He also loved to dissect animals and try to work out how to put their bones back together, along with that he thoroughly enjoyed bleaching animal bones. There is no true evidence that Dahmer killed the animals himself but he did go out hunting for dead animals to experiment on. Once Jeffrey found a dead dog and had the impulse to impale the dogs head upon a stick for his own enjoyment. It is said that his fascination started when his father found a dead animal under the porch of the family home, this fascination with death seemed to remain with Jeffrey up until his own death.
Fact 2: Jeffrey underwent a double hernia surgery at four
Jeffrey Dahmer - Aged 4 |
At the age of four, Jeffrey Dahmer underwent a double hernia surgery. It is said that Jeffrey was not told about this surgery happening or that he did not quite understand the details of the surgery. ( For those who don’t know, a double hernia is when abdominal fat or a loop of small intestine enters the inguinal canal, a tubular passage through the lower layers of the abdominal wall. In men, inguinal hernias typically develop in the groin area near the scrotum, on one or both sides). This event had seemed to of caused a once normal, happy child into a child who seemed very confused, introverted and withdrawn. Jeffrey did not know the reason for the surgery and was shocked when doctors and nurses were touching and examining him with no explanation that he was aware of. An anonymous source states that Dahmer asked his mother if his genitals had been removed because he was in a tremendous amount of pain. This was said to be horribly traumatizing and confusing for a boy at such a young age. This was also said to be the reason why Jeffree Dahmer turned into the man he was at his death
